On the 16th of June the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Kuala Lumpur held a classical music recital by the famous pianist from Montenegro Boris Kraljevic. The recital was organized together with the Chopin Society Malaysia.
The Chopin Society Malaysia was officially registered as a non-profit organization that plays an important role in development of Malaysian music culture. Throughout many years the Russian Cultural Centre has been working closely with the Chopin Society, organizing musical recitals and other performances featuring professional musicians and talented students of local musical schools.
The concert was opened by the Music Director and co-founder of the Chopin Society Prof. Snezana Panovska, who introduced the musician to the audience. Boris Kraljevic is an honorary graduate of the Moscow State Conservatory and currently a senior lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore. The famous musician performs recitals and piano concerts with symphony and chamber orchestras around the world, conducts master classes in conservatories and joins many international music competitions as a judge.
The concert was attended by classical music enthusiasts: foreign diplomats, working in Malaysia, Russian expats and Malaysian publics. At the recital Boris Kraljevic performed Franz Schubert’s romantic piano music and few famous pieces composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
At the end of the program all guests were invited for a group photo session with the pianist. Everybody was very impressed with the talented play of the musician and expressed their hope that Boris would be coming back to Malaysia again and again.
